Tritium Keychain

Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen that can be used for lights that almost never run out of power. How does it work? The light on this keychain is a small glass vial coated with a fluorescent dye and contains a small amount of tritium. When the radiation of the tritium strikes the dye, it lights up! Don't be scared though, the radiation isn't even strong enough to penetrate the glass, so you're perfectly safe. Tritium has a halflife of approximately twelve years, so the light should last pretty long!

Garfield MP3 Player

Here's a little personal thing about me: I like Garfield. Okay, the movies sucked like no other movies have sucked before, and the best thing to do with them would be to encase all copies of them in concrete together with the actors (except Bill Murray, he is and always will be cool), bury them in the desert and pass a law that forbids people from ever mentioning them again under the penalty of catapulting, but the comics are funny.
If you are like me and also like this cat, this MP3 player is something for you. It's shaped like Garfield's hat, cheap as hell (as it should be, because it only has 256 megabytes of storage), and is expandable with SD cards. Oh, and it has matching orange earbuds!

FPS vest

Some gamers can get pretty fanatical, and this is a great toy for such people. Deathmatching online is taken to a whole new level with this vest. It connects to the USB port and contains eight pneumatic cells that will make you feel every hit (except headshots, of course).
As for now, eight games are supported: Crysis, Halflife 2 episode 1 and 2, Medal of Honor Airborne, F.E.A.R., Quake Wars Enemy Territory, Doom 3 and Quake 4. The drivers are updated continually and more games will be supported in the future.

Personal Pocket Safe

If James Bond uses a USB drive, it will probably be something like this. It has military grade encryption (whatever that may mean, as if 256-bit AES isn't secure enough already), a password vault and, perhaps the most interesting feature, track covering. What does this mean? All traces of it being connected to a computer are removed once you unplug it. I don't know how reliable this is, but it may come in handy. The encryption is secured by a 4 to 10 digit PIN-code, wich can be entered with the keypad on the drive.

Spaceship Oil Warmer

Oil warmers usual look like some sort of oriental, new-age hippie type of contraption, but this one is a bit different. It looks like a spaceship, with the dish for the oil positioned above the ship, wich holds the candle. Looks like a warped (no pun intended) version of the Enterprise.

It's entirely powered by the batteries in the Wiimote, so extra batteries aren't required.

Loc8tor Lite Tracking Device

I didn't know things like this existed except in movies, but apparently they do. Here's how it works. You put the locator tag (the small thingy) on the object you want to track. The receiver will pick up its signal and show you in what direction you need to look. When pointed towards the tag, the signal strength will increase. The receiver can be used to follow up to four tags (two come with the receiver), with a maximum range of about 400 feet.

Electronic Chess Game

Here's a cool chess set if you have nobody to play against. It's a chess computer with 136 difficulty levels. On most chess computers, the computer just tells you his move and you have to move his piece yourself. Not this one! The board contains a magnetic system that moves the pieces, so you never even have to touch them. You can even let the computer play against itself!

USB Bomb

Here's something we haven't seen yet: a USB drive shaped like a bomb! Cool as it looks, it's only a protoype at this moment, so no information is available about capacity. Also, the picture looks like it's rendered and no actual picture. I guess it's not that hard to make something like this yourself from a standard USB drive. If this ever gets manufactured I see at least one problem coming: trying to explain this to airport security!

Pexagon Custom USB Drives

If you want an engraved or otherwise customized USB drive, you usually need to buy them in bulk. No matter how cool a Halo or Resident Evil USB drive would be, having to buy 100 of them is not that cool. Pexagon Tech now offers customized USB drives without the requirement to buy a minimum quantity!
To design a drive, they have a wizard on their website. You can choose the base color, a logo and some text, or you can upload your own logo. Stirling Engine Kit

A stirling engine is one of the most remarkable inventions ever. They can be powered by any heat source you can think of: combustion, nuclear reactions, solar power, or even the heat of your hand!
And now, you can build your very own engine with the Stirling engine kit. Many such kits are available, but most are incredibly expensive. This one isn't, luckily. Most of the engine is made of cardboard, a bit of aluminum and some PVC. When finished, you can run it by placing it on a hot cup of coffee!

A Real Wii Crossbow

Link's Crossbow Training is fun, but the Wii Zapper isn't exactly a crossbow. So here's a new controller that IS a crossbow! And not just any crossbow, it has a laser sight! Those bublins and skulltulas better hide, because with this thing you just can't miss! And to prove it's dangerous weapon, the makers have put a pingpongball on the arrow so you don't shoot someone's eye out.

PicoZ Uranus

The PicoZ helicopters are among the most amazing toys ever created. So tiny, so easy to fly, so cool, and most importantly, so incredibly cheap! There's only one downside: they can't hover. When they take of they start flying forward immediately, and all you can do is turn and climb or descend. Well, that problem is fixed with the new PicoZ Uranus!
This new helicopter has an extra channel to control forward movement. You can give the helicopter normal forward movement, or you can give it a short burst of speed. But still, there's one thing missing, and I mentioned it before: tiny Hellfire missiles! Probably won't happen anytime soon...

USB Wifi Dish Antenna

Wireless networks are a great invention, as long as they work. In my appartment, it barely works. I use a powerline network adapter, wich is ok since I use a desktop PC, but if you have a laptop and absolutely need wifi there are various solutions. And here's one of them!

It's quite simple. Instead of sending a signal in all direction, you focus it into a beam with a dish antenna. You need to aim the dish at your router, but the signal is enhanced seriously so your range should increase considerably. It's connected to a USB port like any other Wifi adapter.

Iomega Rev still alive!

Yep, that's right, this thing still exists! The new Rev drive holds 120 gigabytes of data and is backwards compatible with older cartridges.

Honestly, I don't know what the hell they are thinking. There have been numerous attempts at making a new floppy-like storage medium, and with the exception of the now dead-and-buries Zip drive, they have failed. USB sticks and external hard drives have bigger capacities and are dirt cheap, why would anyone even want to buy a storage device with a seperate reader and cartridge? Give up, Iomega, nobody even wants this anymore!

Pimp my iPod!

Pimp my Gadgets sells a range of cool skins for the Sony PSP, the Nintendo DS, and, most of all, the iPod (another name for the website could be Pimp my iPod). iPod skins are available for the iPod Nano 1G up to 3G, the iPod Classic and the new iPod Touch.
What's most amazing about the iPod Touch skins is that they come with a downloadable wallpaper that matches the skin, so the skin even seems to cover the display! All skins cost £5.45 (approximately $10.8), and delivery is worldwide. The skins are very strong and are covered by a protective foil so they should last a long time.

Fold-up cubicle

When people run out of available space, they start coming up with things like this. It looks like a big trunk on wheels, so when not in use you can just fold it in half and put it somewhere out of the way. Perhaps it won't hold a complete office, but it's big enough for a laptop, some paperwork and a few gadgets.

iCarPlay Wireless Plus

Playing your MP3 files in the car is not always that easy. You could get a car stereo that plays MP3 directly, but if you don't have one of those you could burn audio cds, use a cassette adapter (if you have a car stereo that plays audio tapes), or your could use the iCarPlay FM transmitter.
It's easy as hell to use. Search for a free FM frequency, plug in this transmitter and tune your radio to the selected frequency. You'll receive the music on your radio, and you recharge your iPod at the same time. You can store up to three frequencies in the transmitter.
